EXODUS ARTISTRY is a fresh, new, professional Indian based dance company that strives to incorporate and fuse various artistic elements from Eastern and Western cultures respectively. Consisting of highly talented, versatile & professional dancers, we continuously look to push the boundaries of dance and creativity. EXODUS ARTISTRY is a professional Indian-American dance company that strives to incorporate various artistic elements from Eastern and Western cultures respectively. Founded by Rohit Gijare, a Dance India Dance Finalist, Exodus Artistry has garnered a following nationally & globally. They have been featured/worked with some of the biggest names & companies such as Terence Lewis, NBA, BuzzFeed, Spotify, CitiBank, JetBlue much more. Exodus dancers are also currently on-tour with Bollywood Boulevard, a musical, dance production that is touring Nationwide. In addition, Exodus Artistry offers a year round dance curriculum for students of all ages and dance levels in New Jersey, New York & Pennsylvania.
THE MEANING BEHIND EXODUS
In its literal sense, an exodus is “a mass movement or departure of people.” We embody this as an enigmatic movement. A performer utilizes dance, music to release inner emotions and personalities. In turn, he or she transmits these feelings to the audience, creating a unique connection and realm, in which both artist and spectator are immeresed in. EXODUS ARTISTRY is the movement or depature from reality through art.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR & FOUNDER
Rohit Gijare is a reputable, emerging choreographer and dancer based in the New York/New Jersey area. Rohit has performed on a variety of international platforms, spanning the United States and abroad. His grace and versatility have made him a sought-after performer, with a charisma and energetic stage presence that has mesmerized audiences and critics alike. As a choreographer, Rohit’s unique style draws from his vast range of experience in both traditional and modern dance forms. As a disciple of renowned Kathak dancer, Guru Archana Joglekar, he has developed both strength and grace which form the foundation of the classical Indian dance form. Rohit combines this classical background with his traditional Indian folk dance experience, while adding influences from modern western choreography to produce a unique style of choreography all his own.
Rohit’s choreography and vision has produced numerous award-winning live performances and has been presented at a number of high-profile events and exhibitions. As one of the main choreographers for AATMA Performing Arts, he has both contributed choreography as well as performed as a part of “Mystic India: The World Tour”, an international Bollywood show manifesting the magic of Indian culture through dance for international audiences in Canada, Switzerland, South Africa, China, Bahrain, New York, Los Angeles and much more. Rohit has also taken the stage with “Mystic India” as the opening act for American Idol-winner and Grammy Award-winning singer Carrie Underwood in Las Vegas, NV. Rohit contributed as a Co-Choreographer for the Star TV Plus performance, Just Dance Live, an event showcasing some of the popular show’s Top 10 contestants to television audiences in the US and in India. Rohit's proudest achievement was when he selected into the TOP 20 from nearly 20,000 entries and was ultimately crowned the 2ND RUNNER UP for DANCE INDIA DANCE NORTH AMERICA 2015.
Rohit has collaborated and trained with many highly-respected professionals in the industry, choreographing and performing alongside legendary music producers Vishal-Shekhar. He has also learned from iconic Bollywood choreographer, Saroj Khan and Dance India Dance Judge, Terence Lewis. As one of the selected finalists of Shiamak Davar's Dance Competition, Rohit has worked with Shiamak Davar & The Shiamak Davar Dance Company and performed at The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) IN 2014. He has also first ever Bollywood dance workshops at the presitigous Williamstown Theater Festival where many current Hollywood actors such as Justin Long, Renee Fleming, Sam Rockwell and many more perform annually. Rohit’s diverse range of experience has come to define him as a dancer and choreographer. He is revered for his meticulous attention to detail, fresh eye for choreography and production.

Aaliya Islam is an Indian Classical and Bollywood dancer with 17 years of experience. She completed her Bharatnatyam Arangetram in August 2008 and was an assistant teacher and production dancer for the Arathi School of Dance from 2007 to 2015. Aaliya was also on a Bollywood Fusion dance team, UA Om Shanti for four years, serving as captain from 2011 to 2014 and female lead from 2012 to 2014. Avinash Gabbeta is a third year medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His dedication to dance started at the age of 14 and evolved once he reached the college scene. There he joined Villanova Unversity’s premiere fusion dance team “Nova Nassa.” During his four years on the team, he spent 3 years as captain and was avidly involved in the choreography and growth of the team. Bhumit began his dancing career during his college years as a part of a competitive dance team where he performed at various national level Bollywood Fusion dance competitions. Bindi Patel is a NYC based dancer who has specializes in semi-classical and Bollywood fusion dance. She has spent 13 years training and later competing in Bharatanatyam, folk, and semi-classical dance under the expertise and guidance of Shrimati Sudha Sekhar Devulapalli of the Kalanjali School of Dance. Dhvani believes that dance is first and foremost a form of self expression and has been using the art since she was young to express the emotions she felt. Over the years she has performed and choreographed for various stages and in college she joined Case Kismat Fusion Dance Team. Notable Performances: Buckeye Mela, Nachte Raho, Aa Dekhen Zara
Geatali began her dance training at the age of 5 in the styles of Bharatanatyam and semi-classical. Since then she has studied ballet, Bollywood, West African, modern, and hip-hop, and is always looking to expand her dance horizons more. Geatali spent two of her collegiate years on Penn State Jadhoom as captain and one year on Penn State Natya. She continues her passion for dancing by seizing every dance opportunity possible. Haritha Reddy was trained in Bharatanatyam and Bollywood since the age of 4 and 13 years old respectively. After learning, performing, and competing in these styles at Kalanjali School of Dance under the guidance of Smt. Sudha Devulapalli, she completed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram in 2011. Starting in late middle school, she explored other styles, such as Hip-hop, Salsa, and Bhangra and incorporated them into her role as a dancer and choreographer on Temple University's all-female South-Asian
Manav is a professional dancer trained in Bollywood and Bhangra dance styles. He was part of his collegiate dance team, Rutgers Ehsaas, for four years where he served on the Executive board all throughout. Manav has performed at venues both nationally and internationally and strives to inspire others through his performances. Notable Performances: NJPAC, NBA 76ers Halftime Show, A2Dhoom, TMP 4.0-5.0, Midwest Dhamaka, Niagara Falls
Nisha's passion for dance began at the young age of 6 when she started to compete and place in national garba/raas and folk dance competitions. Upon entering college, she danced on the nations top all-female fusion team Drexel Jhalak. During her 3 years on Jhalak she has choreographed many pieces, designed costumes and performed at many top collegiate competitions nationwide. Preethi's dance journey began in high school, where she trained in ballet and contemporary on High School's Color Guard/Winter Guard, competed and placed 5th in the nation with her team. She continued to train on AUM Dance Creation's Senior Company for five years and further in college, she served as Captain for Rutgers Ehsaas. Notable Performances: Lincoln Center, Disney World, Metlife Stadium, Devi Sri Prasad, Arjun, MSG (Prime Minister Narinder Modi), Oprah's "Life You Want Tour"
Proma Khosla made her stage debut at age three, as a particularly still and petrified Lord Krishna. She studied dance with her mother, Bipasha Guptaroy, founder of the Srijan India Dance Company and longtime student of the contemporary Indian dance style of Uday Shankar. Notable Performances: Danza in Fiera Bollywod America (Aluminati)
Shivani Badgi is a New Jersey/New York based dancer with 20 years of combined dance experience in Kathak, Ballet, Bollywood, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop. Notables Performances: Lincoln Center Warwick Castle and Island Gardens NYU Skirball Centre Shivani is a versatile dancer and enjoys choreographing and dancing to pieces ranging from Kathak fusion, Indian contemporary, Street Stilettos.
